Raoul Hausmann’s The Art Critic was the collage that first got me really interested in collage. Then, after finding that, I discovered John Heartfield and decided to make my A-Level Art book project all about Photomontage. Six years later, I wrote my dissertation about Collage, and whether it is ‘a human impulse to gather, fuse and fix’. It’s nice when you realise you’ve had an interest for a long time.
